90 apartment blocks in Yerevan will be equipped with solar panels to provide green energy to the inhabitants. The project is part of EU4Energy initiative which is implemented in all of the Eastern Partnership countries, including Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
The EU-funded project “EU for Yerevan Solar Community” was launched on June 7. Alongside the apartment blocks, the project will also contribute to installation of energy efficient lightning in the Armenian capital thus reducing energy consumption and saving natural and financial resources.
