According to the information received by the Human Rights Defender's Office and the research conducted by its Staff, a resident of Stepanakert, K. Hovhannisyan, born in 1983, died as a result of chronic malnutrition, protein and energy deficiency.

Regional Post-Caucasus interviewed the “most Italian citizen of Gyumri” Antonio Montalto – the honorary consul of his country in the city. Major Lendrush Khachatryan, a former battalion commander Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army, is one of the many wounded in the 44-day war of 2020 provoked by Azerbaijan. Following the attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran at the end of January 2023, the previously unprecedented tension between the two countries is gradually easing. While relations between Iran and Azerbaijan have been tense since the 2020 Artsakh war, the situation escalated further after the attack on the embassy. The primary cause of the tension lies in Iran's unchanged stance on the so-called "Zangezur Corridor" issue.

Two and a half years have passed since the end of the calamitous 44-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh and we are still far away from peace. At the beginning it seemed to many that nothing could threaten the Armenia-Artsakh communications and that the Russian presence in the region ensured at least a modicum of security, however things changed dramatically with the outbreak of the Kremlin's war in Ukraine in February 2022.

Since 29 June the civic initiative Hayaqve was launched, the declared aim of which is to stop relinquishing Artsakh to Azerbaijan. The organizers state that in order to achieve this they want to collect 50,000 signatures of Armenian citizens demanding that a legal amendment be introduced, which will criminalize any action recognizing Artsakh as a part of Azerbaijan. The initiative group suggests that in case the National Assembly declines to adopt a respective law, they will “force” their will through a referendum.
