Armenian, Indian foreign ministers discuss regional security

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on 24 September met Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. The ministers discussed regional security in the South Caucasus, the Armenian Foreign Ministry readout says.

Ararat Mirzoyan underlined that Azerbaijan’s continuous aggression and the large-scale military attack against the people of Artsakh unleashed on September 19, which followed a 9-months-long blockade of the Lachin corridor and a total siege of Nagorno

Karabakh, demonstrated the importance of substantial steps by international partners.

The interlocutors also discussed Armenian-Indian relations, the readout adds.
