Armenian Security Council chief met counterparts from different countries in Malta

On 28 and 29 October Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan held a series of meetings with foreign partners within the framework of the “Malta: Formula for Peace” talks.


As Grigoryan reports on his Facebook page, on 28 October, he met with Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien and Assistant to the President of France Bertrand Buchwalter, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan Takeo Akiba on National Security Issues and Advisor to the President of Moldova on National Security Issues security.

Issues of regional security in the South Caucasus were discussed with all interlocutors. The parties also discussed the potential of bilateral relations in the fields of security and economics with Takeo Akiba.

On 29 October, Grigoryan met with Adviser to the Prime Minister of Greece on National Security Issues, Athanasios Ntokos.

The interlocutors discussed the situation of regional and international security, within the framework of which the head of the Security Council of Armenia presented challenges in the field of regional security and emphasized Armenia’s efforts to resolve them.

The parties also referred to the possibilities of bilateral cooperation in the field of security.
