Nagorno-Karabakh Foreign Minister Sergey Ghazaryan at a briefing on 19 September called on the international community to take active steps to stop Azebaijan’s aggression against the people of Artsakh. “Calls alone will not stop Azerbaijan from its belligerent and criminal acts. We demand from the international community to take effective steps very urgently to stop Azerbaijan's aggression,” Ghazaryan said.
He also recalled that Azerbaijan since recently circulated false reports on “sabotage operations” and “fire at Azerbaijani positions” on the contact line, thus creating a pretext for its aggressive actions. He added that Artsakh kept warning various international actors on accumulation of Azerbaijani armed forces on the contact line and possible provocations by Baku.
“Now we are witnessing how Azerbaijan, in order to implement its policy of genocide, is moving towards the physical destruction of the civilian population and the destruction of civilian objects,” the Artsakh Foreign Minister said.
