Azerbaijan demands “self-dissolution of the illegal regime” in Nagorno-Karabakh

Hikmet Hajiyev, special adviser to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called on Artsakh authorities to "dissolve itself". Calling the authorities in Nagorno-Karabakh as “Illegal separatist puppet regime” Hajiyev said that the armed forces which the authorities in Baku consider as Armenian, should disarm.  

 

Hikmet Hajiyev, special adviser to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on 19 September called on Artsakh authorities to "dissolve themselves". Calling the administration in Nagorno-Karabakh an “illegal separatist puppet regime” Hajiyev said that the armed forces which the authorities in Baku consider Armenian, should disarm.  

The Administration of the Azerbaijani President in turn, issued a statement, ultimately demanding to “raise the white flag” from the Karabakh forces and lay arms and repeated the demand of “self-dissolution” of the Karabakh administration. “otherwise counter-terror measures will continue till the end,” the statement warns.

Meanwhile the Artsakh Defense Army reported on ongoing clashes along the contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh. 

“Fighting continues along the entire line of contact. The Azerbaijani military is using artillery and rocket systems, combat UAVs and combat aviation,” the Defense Army said, adding that it will release additional updates in case of developments.
