Civilian population of 6 communities of Artsakh was evacuated

The civilian population of 6 communities of Artsakh’s Askeran and Martuni districts (Khramort, Khnabad, Sarnaghbyur, Nakhijevanik, Machkalashen and Chankatakh) was evacuated. Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan announced this on September 19 on his official page on X (formerly Twitter).


 
It is also reported that according to the information from the Stepanakert morgue as of 20:00, as a result of large-scale terror act carried out by Azerbaijan 25 people are dead, two of whom arecivilians.

Earlier, Gegham Stepanyan stated that the Yeghtsahogh community of the Shushi region, numbering 150 residents, is directly targeted by the Azerbaijani side.

“The Azerbaijani Armed Forces destroyed the community school. There is no opportunity to evacuate the residents; they are completely surrounded by Azerbaijan,” said the Artsakh Ombudsman.

The Artsakh Information Headquarters reported that 128 wounded are in the Republican Medical Center.

There are 12 children in the Arevik medical unit, three of them are in critical condition. They are reportedly currently undergoing surgery.
