Look Around Science Festival brings together over 4,000 visitors

The Look Around science festival was held for the third time in Yerevan on October 15. The organizers of the festival are the Russian state corporation Rosatom and the National Polytechnic University of Armenia.

This year the festival was divided into several thematic chapters: Technology, Human Science, Green Energy, Art and Lecture Hall.

The participants of the festival were able to learn about the role of nuclear technologies in various fields such as medicine, agriculture, archeology and other.

The talk “Energy of Science” was among the event organized at the festival site, during which experts discussed the future of Armenian science and the role of innovation in modern professions.

According to the organizers of the event, the main goal of the festival is to bring children closer to science. “Schoolchildren and students participate in our event with great enthusiasm, and we decided to continue this wonderful tradition of holding an annual science festival,” Mikhail Turundaev, director of the Rusatom International network in the Republic of Armenia, said during the event.

Aram Gevorgyan, Deputy Director of the Institute of Energy and Electrical Engineering of the National Polytechnic University, noted in his speech that in Armenia, where there is a nuclear power plant, it is very important to hold such educational events aimed at popularizing science, since the country needs specialists in the field of nuclear energy, and such festivals help raise the interest of Armenian youth in this area.

The Look Around Science Festival has been held in Yerevan since 2019. Then the event was attended by about 3 thousand people from both the capital and neighboring regions. This year the festival was attended by more than four thousand people.
