The Armenian Foreign Ministry does not have any information of any Armenian nationals who could be affected by the tense situation in Israel and Gaza strip, Foreign Ministry spokesprson Ani Badalyan wrote on 7 October in her Facebook page.
To note, on 7 October, the terrorist group Hamas attacked Israel. As a result of the attack, Israeli soldiers were killed and captured, and civilians were also subjected to violence.
Badalyan also said that the country’s Foreign Ministry, through the embassy in Israel, is in constant communication with Armenian organizations and individuals.
“We are shocked by the violence between the Palestinians and Israel and targeting of civilian population. We express condolences to relatives of victims and speedy recovery to those wounded. We join international calls to stop the violence. We support international calls to stop the violence,” the Armenian Foreign Ministry responded to what was happening on the social network on October 7.
On 8 October, the Armenian Embassy in Israel called on Armenian citizens to avoid visiting southern regions of the country. Those already there are advised to move to safer areas of the country as soon as possible. The Embassy reminds that people should stay in hotels and homes so that in case of an air raid they are close to shelter.
