Victory and Suitcase: 'After a 10-month blockade, we managed to put up stiff resistance and save our people. Today we are.'

We present an interview with the director and artistic director of Stepanakert Russian Drama Theater Zhanna Krikorova.
Zhanna has worked as a journalist for a long time, headed different positions and directly followed the process of Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations from the very beginning.

Episode 1

"In 1994, I started to deal with the Karabakh conflict as a journalist and worked in conflict research organizations. Our goal was to resolve the conflict peacefully."

Episode 2

"For the Armenian authorities, Karabakh was only needed to come to power and get rid of the communists. But it was a righteous movement caused by the discriminatory policies of the authorities of Soviet Azerbaijan."

Episode 3

"Throughout the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiation process, Armenia behaved quite constructively. But there were no mechanisms by which Azerbaijan would fulfill its promises."

Episode 4

"Already in 2016 it was clear that there would be a full-scale war, but the entire Armenian people lived in a great delusion. In 2020 I lost my house in Shushi, everything became meaningless. But I was able to gather strength and resume theater work in Artsakh only after a long break."
