Dr. Armine Tigranyan, Ph.D. in History and expert in cultural heritage and cultural rights, examines the September 2023 displacement of over 100,000 Armenians from Artsakh through the lens of international humanitarian law, analyzing how fear, coercion, and the destruction of civilian infrastructure constitute forced displacement under the Rome Statute and established legal precedent.

In the abandoned Palace of Culture in Jermuk, where Soviet-era community halls once buzzed with cultural activity, the Triangle of Collaboration (ToC) Cultural Organization brought three contemporary Armenian artists together for a month-long residency that would transform how we think about forgotten spaces. Photographer Armen Ter-Mkrtchyan, printmaker Sophie Musoyan, and sculptor Manvel Matevosyan treated the crumbling building not as a backdrop for their art, but as an active collaborator in exploring what happens when architecture no longer serves its original function.

On April 5, Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, and USAID Chief of Staff Samantha Power met in Brussels. The morning of February 13 began with the shelling of the Armenian positions near the village of Nerkin Khand in the Syunik region of Armenia by the Azerbaijani armed forces.
